This is a 22” x 30” gouache painting on Rives BFK. The inspiration for these paintings: “The Five Masters” is my new adopted home town of Waldoboro, Maine - “Home of the Five Master Schooner”. My studio overlooks a portion of the old shipyard where the first five masted schooner - “The Governor Ames” - was built in 1888.
