This painting is 5”x7”, ink and gouache on Arches 140lb Cold Press paper. I was out on a cold, crisp walk on one of those January thaws that seem to tease spring - only to have a foot of snow a week later. But the low winter sun bright, bringing out warm pops of color in the brush against the cool blue of the sky.
