This unframed painting "Magic 2" is gouache and pencil on Canson Rieves BFK. This painting was created for my "One Hour of TV A Week" show at Gallery 543 at the URBN Inc headquarters in the Philadelphia Navy Yard. The fish pictured is a brook trout and the painting tries to in some way capture the experience of cleaning a fish as a child. I remember being amazed at the organic machinery inside - all the internal organs, and thinking how beautiful they were inside and out (I know that sounds serial killer-y, but it’s really not - I did a science project on it - it was full nerdy).
