This painting is 5”x7”, ink and gouache on arches 140lb Cold Press paper. That day was in the height of fall, with the trees mid turn, the grass turning that sage-y mix of tans and soft greens, with incredibly flat low cloud cover. The light was almost clinically flat, which beautifully revealed both the high color moments as well as the lovely neutrals in the scene.
