The painting is 6”x9”, ink and gouache on 140lb Arches Hot Press paper.

I went out fishing after a late spring rain. I had hoped the water would have risen enough to excite the trout but the water remained low. I was treated to nice stream walk instead in a verdant landscape. It was hot, still, and very quiet - like spring trying to hold on before giving way to summer. I snapped quite a few pictures, caught a few bass, and went home ready for a big late breakfast.
