This was an experiment playing with gouache over gouache ink resist. In the last image you can see the underpainting in ink, and the finished painting.

The piece itself was started during the last Winter Olympics in 2018 in PyeongChang, South Korea, and of visually based off old late 80’s, early 90’s, Alberto Tomba-esque aesthetics.

The piece is 6”x9”, ink and gouache on 140 lb Arches Cold Press Watercolor Paper.
